Fontana Arte is preparing to celebrate nearly a century of pioneering design, craftsmanship, and innovation. While officially founded in 1933 by Luigi Fontana, Gio Ponti, and Pietro Chiesa, the company’s roots trace back to 1881, when Luigi Fontana established a firm dedicated to glass and crystal processing. In 1931, Gio Ponti became artistic director and rebranded the company as Fontana Arte, transforming it into a hub of modern Italian design.
