Italian Verde Granite Dining Table

circa 1950’s

An elegant Italian centre or dining table dating from the 1950s, featuring a richly figured later Verde Marinace granite circular top resting on a sculptural ebonised tripod base. The three tapering legs, united by a distinctive central stretcher, terminate in finely detailed solid brass sabots, lending the piece a refined architectural quality.

Attributed to the style of Ico Parisi, the table embodies the sculptural simplicity and sophisticated material palette that defined post-war Italian design. The dramatic Verde Marinace granite, with its naturally occurring pebble-like inclusions, provides a striking contrast to the crisp black lacquered base, creating a timeless piece equally suited to dining or as a centre table
